Tutorial to install stock rom / firmware on VS996

Attention

     For the device to be recognized by the PC, it is necessary to have the drives installed. 
 On the device you have the program 'LG PC Suite IV' it is on the SD card.

   With this program, if you prefer, you can synchronize and  
back up your phone data. 
Install the Lg Pc Suite on your computer to continue.

     Before the process, enable USB debug mode. 
Settings> Applications> development. 

Important 
In order for the process to complete successfully, disable the "LGE Virtual Modem". 
Control Panel> System> Hardware> Device Manager> Modems 
Right-click on LGE Virtual Modem and click Disable.

Required files 
1 - KDZ UPDATE EN. 
2 - Stock Rom for your device 

Let's go to the process

1 - Execute the file KDZ_FW_UPD.exe  
In  Type , you will leave in the option  3GQCT , in  Phone Mode , select  DIAG . 
2 - Connect your phone to the PC, wait for it to be recognized. 
3 - In  KDZ File,  locate the Stock Rom . ( Stock rom with extension .kdz ) 
4 - Press "button I Get started on software update" or "Launch software update" . 
5 - Wait for the process to end.

In about 5 minutes the phone will start up with the new firmware. 
If the device is restarting on the LG logo, turn  
your device on by pressing the volume key + power button, then your device will enter Hard Reset mode and restart.
